Relay
Majulah

200 runners completed a 2,000 km marathon challenge within 200 hours

to raise funds for 67 charities supported by The President’s Challenge in 2019

The combined effort shows how the silent heroes of Singapore are also empowered to contribute back to society and to make a change in the lives of others. We published photography Journal Relay Majulah in 2020 to tell the stories of the Majulah Spirit, when each runner, with their own unique set of strengths and weaknesses, come together as one, complementing one another in all ways to pursue a shared dream. To commemorate the first anniversary of Relay Majulah, a photo exhibition had been curated at Gardens by the Bay.

The Photographs

2nd – 10th November 2019

This nationwide relay took place over the course of 8 days between 2nd to 10th November 2019. While chasing after the moments the baton was passed from one runner to another, we captured every meaningful moment and we realized that many volunteers and supporters too had their fair share of touching stories.

The Photography Journal

February 2020

To honour Relay Majulah and embrace the spirit, we produced and published a photography Journal by selecting every image, editing each story and art designing each page. Through this book, we hope to inspire more people in making a difference and creating an impact in the community.

Now available in National Library of Singapore.

The Exhibition

2nd November 2020 – 3rd January 2021

To celebrate its first anniversary and to continue its strive to inspire Singapore and its people; to stand together in unity and to pursue every challenge with perseverance and grit, especially during such challenging times, we curated a photo exhibition. Special moments of Relay Majulah captured through the photos on display at Gardens by the Bay Supertree Grove from November 2020 to January 2021.

President Halimah Yacob and speaker Tan Chuan-Jin took a walk down memory lane with the many great photographs captured from the relay.
